Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo’s comeback
The new launch campaign for HeyLight, Compass’s payment and credit solution platform, marks the long-awaited return of the iconic comedy trio Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo to a commercial spot. Under the creative direction of Leo Milano, the communication spans several subjects—from vacations to buying a bike—all tied together by the tagline “un po’… un po’ alla volta” (a little… a little at a time). For a project of this magnitude, directed by Alessandro Genovesi and produced by Enormous Films, the audio components were entrusted to the expertise of Disc To Disc Productions.
The core of the technical intervention focused on the complex task of mixing and cleaning the production sound. Given the performances rely heavily on the trio’s comedic timing and natural dialogue, the goal was to preserve every nuance of their acting, ensuring crystal-clear vocal clarity in every narrative context. Added to this was meticulous Sound Design, essential for providing rhythm and depth to the various scenarios, making every purchase “accessible” not only in its message but also in its sensory impact.
All processing was carried out in-house at the Disc To Disc Productions mix suites in Milan. This choice allowed for absolute quality control throughout every phase of post-production. The project was managed with a native Dolby Surround 5.1 approach, ensuring a rich and immersive spatial sound that enhances the cinematic narration of Genovesi’s direction and adapts perfectly to the highest broadcasting standards.
